In our Eco-friendly environment we encourage wildlife with nesting, shelter and food sources. We added a dozen more birdhouses on the trails which are shared by a variety of birds- swallows, wrens and bluebirds; more wildlife friendly plantings of American High-bush Cranberry, Bottle Brush, Redozier Dogwoods and Honeysuckle. More evergreens of Balsam, Blue Spruce and White Pine from the Arbor Day Sale by the Soil and Water Conservation Dept of Delaware County. We use all recycled paper products, energy efficient lighting and will add more solar panels to our existing solar grid. We have started a new beehive to replace the ones lost in the flood last year which will help pollinate our gardens and fruits. |
We are committed to protecting the environment, the health and safety of our employees, and the community in which we conduct our business. It is our policy to adopt environmentally responsible business practices by conserving energy, water, and other natural resources; recycling and purchasing recycled products; and reducing our use of toxic cleaning products. We are committed to these goals while maintaining our high standards for customer comfort and enjoyment.

HospitalityGreen LLC is a New York based consulting firm specializing in environmental and operations consulting services. HospitalityGreen partners with service-based and product-based clients throughout the hospitality, manufacturing and institutional healthcare industries, to implement sustainable business practices. The Green Concierge (GC) Project ™, conceived by HospitalityGreen in 2009, works with tourism and lodging facilities throughout the U.S. to help improve their economic vitality and their sustainable business practices without compromising service delivery or customer satisfaction. The GC Eco-Business Certification provides a third party audit for improvements in resource conservation and environmentally conscious business practices. The GC Project, through funding from the Empire State Development (ESD) and the Catskill Watershed Corporation (CWC) was launched in 2010 and implemented by HospitalityGreen throughout the Catskill Watershed Region. Currently in 2012, 31 properties throughout the Catskill Region are participating in HG’s GC Eco-Business Certification program. The GC Certification program was recently recognized and ranked by Greenlodge.org as a Silver Tier Program. Along with the GC Certification, Greenlodge.org also recognizes as Silver Tier an elite group of national and international third party certification programs.
